Let me admit right now I was wrong about trading for Derrick Rose. He is the biggest difference in the team and he’s helping IQ and Toppin improve in leaps and bounds.

Let me add that in the three games Rose has been a Knick our second unit has outscored the opponents bench by 74 points.

Thibs now has a complete second unit. It used to include Noel but now it’s Taj, Burks, Obi, IQ and the catalyst Rose. This why all the trade talk bothers me so much because finally the Knicks have quality depth. They are a superstar talent away from real contention but the cost is all this quality depth and likely at least RJ.

Show me a trade that involves players like Knox, Frank, Bullock or Burks and draft picks and as long as it’s an impact player I’m down with it. Even three picks but keep in mind the only blockbuster deal I can recall that yielded gold is the AD trade and with LeBron at 34 (then) I understand their window was tight. Otherwise be patient.
