I have been reading some rumblings of the Knicks being interested in Beal and that Washington may be open to trading him. So what is Beal worth? What would you be willing to give up?
Beal is a stud, putting up huge numbers, so he is not going to come cheap. And all indications are that he likes Washington and has no plans to move on (so the concept of him forcing his way out goes away).
The Knicks have a ton of draft picks (4 first rounders in the next 2 years) and lots of young attractive players.
So what does it take? Are you willing to part with Barrett or Robinson? Would Washington take anything less?
What are your thoughts?

Beal would be expensive. Too expensive IMHO.
Washington would want Randle or RJ. Most likely both. They would also want IQ or Obi. Just like Randle and RJ they will ask for both. They will also want draft picks. MULTIPLE draft picks.
The cost would be somewhat less like maybe RJ and IQ and 2 first round picks but still is that a price NY has to pay? I think not. Victor Oladipo is a free agent this summer. Beal has a player option in 2022.
Patience. Stay the course. The old Knicks regimes tried to buy relevance. Have we not learned our lesson?

I think it is a fine line between growing naturally and trying to enhance via trade. And you need to have a superstar plus others to compete in this league. Beal is that superstar and the Knicks have a lot of young potential.
If the deal was something like RJ + 2 first round picks (one each of the next 2 years), would that be too much? Realistically, RJ's ceiling is Beal, but no idea if he gets there. And we have the extra draft capital with the Mav's two picks.
What about if it was Topin, Knox and picks? Or IQ?
Is there a realistic deal that would be worth it?
Or is the general feeling that it is simply not worth trading for someone else's star?

Regarding potential Bradley Beal trade options, my untouchables are;
1. Quickley
2. Mitch
3. Randle.
Regarding trading draft picks, I limit it to one number 1 and 2 number 2's.

If you could add a Beal in free agency, it would be perfect. A number one option wing to go with IQ, Randle, RJ, and Mitch. But alas he is not a free agent.
If I am washington, the minimum to get the not immediately hang up is: RJ IQ and at least 2 minimally protected number ones. I dont think knicks should do that at this time. AND I think other teams would beat even that offer. So though I love Beal. (Bill was tight about him many years ago) I can't do it. Beal plus Randle would make us a LOT better but with a limited longer term upside.

There’s not a player on the Knicks roster you wouldn’t trade for Bradley Beal. That being said, two of them would be too much. RJ and two number ones, as New Yawka suggested, would be a fair price for Beal. The Knicks become a playoff team, and with the Mavs getting hot lately, neither pick will be a lottery pick.
