They have to remember these are kids going for these “job interviews” and not polished Ivy League college graduated full grown men. To be honest, I appreciate their candor! As someone who has hired more than a few people, they all say the same bullshit over and over. “I’m available 24/7’!” Then you hire them and they say they can’t work weekends. “I’m a people person!” Then a customer gets rude and they yell “lick my ass!” True story! And by the way the league isn’t testing for weed this year, so it shouldn’t be a disqualifying factor.

None of that was shocking. 18-19 year old kids. Some will be honest, some will lie sometimes either doesn't sound good.

It was interesting since almost all of those individuals went to college so it's not like are that green that they don't know when to, or not to do or say certain things.
To me, it was cool just to see what goes into the process of drafting someone outside of the stats that we as fans are obsessed with.
We might've passed on someone or another team might've passed on someone that was a total moron or who's character or growth as a person was questionable.

They also have written tests that likely have had both positive and negative influences on the teams. RJ reportedly had an amazing interview and test. Character and smarts are important too. |
