One of my favorite non Knicks player. I was at the game where Noel blew out his knee against the Gators. It was a long road back but what the Knicks are getting is a super long athletic big who prides himself on defense. He is definitely a guy Thibs will love and he’s just 26 years old. Gotta like the Mitch, Davis, Noel trio.

He can block shots that's for sure but he is not allowed to shoot ever.

He can block shots that's for sure but he is not allowed to shoot ever. He’s a very accomplished dunker. 😎 Now I’m wondering if the Knicks make a run at John Wall. Or that other Kentucky guy. 😎

That's a nice stable to have,AD hasn't signed yet maybe we get a Thanksgiving gift when he announces.
Dunking off course is allowed but never take a shot ever ,only dunks or pass.

This article clip makes my point: The New York Knicks have agreed to a one-year contract with center Nerlens Noel, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting.
A former high lottery pick, Noel has become somewhat of journey around the league, with the Knicks potentially becoming his fourth team in six career seasons. Known for his elite interior defense, and ability to switch in the pick and roll, Noel has in the past seen his playing time severely hampered as a result of his limited offensive skill-set. Not capable of hitting a jump shot with any regularity, Noel relies on dunks and put-backs as his only weapons on offense.
Nevertheless, the signing by New York is a low-risk move for a franchise desperate for an injection of talent as they rebuild.

Another solid move. No risk, potentially high upside

At this point of his career, I don't think much of Noel, but he is better than Wooten.

Noel is actually a younger Taj Gibson to me.
Here's a look at their 2019-202 stats:
Taj: 6-9 232, 35yr 16.5 mpg- 58.4% SP- 73.2 FT5- 4.3RPG- 0.8APG- 0.5 BPG- 6.1 PPG.
Noel: 6-10 220, 26 18.6 mpg- 68.4% SP- 75.5 FT5- 4.2RPG- 0.9APG- 1.5 BPG- 7.4 PPG.
