DA can give you an expanded analysis but Giles is an excellent talent who has had some injury issues. His play, at times, has been very impressive. I’d love to get him.

Would be a nice young backup for Mitch?? I love Harry Giles the person. In High School, he was supposed to be the next coming of Chris Webber. He could jump out of the gym, was a great passer for a big man and had a nice mid-range jump shot. Unfortunately, he had major injuries to both knees in HS and missed his senior year. Duke honored its scholarship offer even though it was unlikely he would be able to play as a freshman.
The Duke medical staff helped his recovery enough to play, but he was a shell of himself. The Kings had him sit out his entire rookie year to rehab his knees and he is just not the same player. He has lost that great leaping ability. He is still skilled in the post and is still a very good rebounder, but he is at most a low cost backup at the 4 and 5. At $3M a year or less, he would be great.
He is definitely a tragic case of what if.
