No big surprise here. I too second everything Mark said in response to the ridiculous notion that somebody’s loyalty could be so easily swayed. I think if somebody put up a poll the majority here wouldn’t want the Knicks to pursue a Russell Westbrook trade. I know I don’t and now comes the news the Rockets want a foundation young player AND draft picks for harden and Westbrook. Thanks but no thanks.
But if the Knicks did trade for Russ he’d be a Knick and as a Knick he would get my support. Say what you want about the guy but nobody tries harder on the court. Few are as talented. And he is a PG and the Knicks need a PG. If the Knicks did acquire Westbrook the gang here would support him and certainly never consider dropping their allegiance to the Knickerbockers. Frankly if that potion was even on the table Knicks fans would have been more justified in almost any of the last 10 years making the switch than now. If you endured the last 10 miserable years you would be overjoyed because the Knicks are on the way back. With or without Russell Westbrook and certainly with or without Dave.

That to me is a fair feathered fan,we Knick fans have a loyalty that is painful sometimes but that makes it more rewarding when we suceed.Westbrook is a very unique guy for sure that is why to me it's Tibs call if he can reign his ass in,I think it might work it might not and it's a very expensive risk that we don't have to take really. We can trade for Alonso BBall now and get a great creator who has improved his shooting last year small sample but he could be turning the corner and I would sign Hayward and Jones done.

Lonzo Ball is interesting. But we may have to give a pick or someone like Knox or Frank and a pick. The Nawlins GM seems to be pretty good at fleecing teams lately so I'm not sure. Maybe they moved on from Holiday because of Ball and what they think of him not despite. We'll see.

Your right Jason he does like to make one sided deals in his favor it won't be easy especially since the gave up alot to get him there.I just think the timing might be right if they want some cash off their cap and since they got two new points.

I want to explore a trade for Alonso Ball since they just got Haynes and they have too many point guards I came on and early and said that Alonso Ball would not be a superstar. He had lots of quirks at UCLA. However he is a functioning point guard that can really pass well (especially in the open court) and rebounds very well for a PG. He isn't bad on D either. Take off the over-expectations and he is an above average PG now IMO, though not a star.

I would take Ball in a sec. He has improved his shot, great on D, and can pass it. He is still young.

Interesting that it's been reported (not sure if accurate, doubt it)that Thibs wants to win now. I would think before Thibs was hired that long or short term vision was seriously discussed. With that being said, aside from a veteran bench player to add maturity and leadership to the Knicks, I want players who are 28 years and younger to be able to develop together.

And the great thing is his father doesn't bother the Pelicans nor the Lakers(ok maybe like the 1st 15 games he bother Magic when he was there), at all. He seems mature and he would do well but that asking price from Griffin, I'm shook of. Which is to say he's a good GM.

It seems like they want to keep him he had a great year and Kira is a rookie to give him the keys to the car.It looks like they will move Bledsoe instead, which really sucks for our chances but he has a contract coming up and if he wants out might open the door.
