In these 10 mock drafts it is predicted by 3 mocks we will take Jonny Flynn, 3 others predict we will get Stephen Curry, 2 predict it will be Jrue Holiday and 1 apiece say Barndon Jennings and Jordan Hill. It's interesting to note 1 mock draft apiece does not have Curry or Hill in the top 8.

Six mocks have the Wizards getting Jordan Hill at #5. Curry goes above our pick in 7 mocks. All 10 have Blake Griffin going to LA and 7 have Memphis taking Hasheem Thabeet with the #2 pick. Blake Griffin, Ricky Rubio and Hasheem Thaabeet are all listed in the top 3 picks. Harden is listed in 7 of the mocks as a top 3 pick.

Lots of different scenarios out there and lots of different opinions.

I think that Donnie Walsh is working very hard to move up to #2 or #5 or even both picks. I like this Wizard's rumor about Etan Thomas and Mike James for Jared Jeffries and Larry Hughes and maybe we can entice Grunfeld to switch picks with us, which will virtually assure us of picking Dell's son.

Now, with the Mobley contract and maybe another tidbit, we can work with Memphis, and I am thinking some sort of package with *wink-wink* Nate Robinson sign and trade after July 9th plus the Mobley contract. Memphis will acquire N8 for virtually nothing in this scenario, and Robinson will be a box office draw for this organization. Mobley's expiring deal pays Nate's salary for the sign and trade, and we can even toss in $3,000,000 in cash. I cannot even see how Memphis can turn this deal down, since we are basically buying Thabeet at # 2.

This is how I can see this shaping up on draft night:

Kincks pick Hasheem at #2. We have solidified the center position and no longer have to spend our mid level exception on D. Howard's caddy. We still obviously bring in Saer Sene for more time and develop him as a solid back-up center to Etan and Hasheem.

Knicks acquire Stephon Curry in the trade scenario with Jeffries and LH. We try as hard as we can to keep our own 8th pick, but that is unreasonable--not impossible--but we try. At #5, Curry will be there. We get him.

Now, with the savings from excising Jared Jeffries from the cap, the huge decision regarding David Lee becomes paramount. We can sign and trade him for CB4 (with other pieces), or do we re-up him, now that Nate is a non-factor? This is Donnie's forte, I hope, for I think we must get TWO elite free agents, including LeBron. If Wade is a target, than Wilson Chandler does become another extremely valuable chip, who may be used for the # 2 pick. I certainly want WC to remain on the Knicks, but as you've said, his position on NY is redundant unless he plays the 2. That is, if Wade is not a Knick and Bosh does sign with us or is traded for David Lee plus filler.

Screw the Raptors.

I'm at the point where it doesn't matter who we pick as long as all parties are agreed on the pick. I trust the Knicks Braintrust to make the right choice. I will say that if Walsh is looking for a return of the Flying Dunkman (Smits) he won't get that with Thabeet. I'd also mention the style of play is a little different now since Reggie Miller was terrorizing us. ; ) Of course Reggie would have fit in this system nicely. ; )

..that without a doubt Blake Griffen is #1-the Clips have a;ready said her in SoCal they were taking him.

And Thabeet and Harden are consistently in the #2 to #3 area. Both players have some holes in their game so a big dropoff happens immeadiatey after Griffen.

The rest is a guesing game. Curry is 4-8 and doesnt show up on one forecast. Rubio is 2-4 and appears out of the Knicks reach. I have a hard time thinking of what euro PG has made a huge success here in the USA? Im talking top 4 draft choice success here.

Hill seems targeted by Wahington at 5 so the Knicks would have to trade up to get him.

The Knicks need a PG but hnestly none of those mentioend seems that surefire a pick to me. Rubio is thin and an iffy shooter, Flynn and Holiday need time to contribute, Curry jsut isnt an NBA PG IMO.

I think picking up a young NBA PG in a trade would be the preferable route if thats what they need. If Lee leaves then PF is a big hole and maybe Hill shoulkd be traded up for.
