I'm sure if you went around the league you'd find that at least 50% of the players are casual marijuana users, do you prefer the old school alcoholics?

Williams can't shoot. His only offensive move is a dunk. And, he does not rebound. He does block shots.

Sounds like Jared Jeffries.

yes it sounds a little like jeffries but as we have seen jeffries does things that help us win that do not show up in box scores. I sense Williams is another big guy with great potential but the nets I assume did not think he would progress or he was a distraction cuz they couldn't even trade him. I have no idea what his deal is, but Darko is headed home, with any luck Walsh will Trade Jeffries so signing him to a 10 day to see if Williams can mix it up and help block shots might be worth a look-see.

Let's see, we need point guard help, so you want to sign a power forward who can't shoot or rebound. Do want him to play alongside Jeffries, so there will be only 3 offensive options for a coach who is all about shooters and offense. Do you want him to play ahead of Hill and Landry, maybe take time away from Bender and Lee? First of all it ain't gonna happen, he would be buried on the bench next to or in place of Darko. Second Hill can do all the things that this particular Sean Williams can, plus he is more athletic and capable on the offensive end. I don't get your reasoning, if there is any. I'd rather see Hill out there, good or bad.

easy iron it's a discussion not a mandate or a wish of mine but something to consider. over the past year between here and the other boards there were many many discussions about trading nate for williams. Now the kid gets fired by the worst team in the sport and he's sitting in his NJ condo scratchn' his basketbawls and hopefully blindsided by the truth, reality.
My question was should we take a look? Darko is going to be gone, Jeffries likely traded, Hill should get some minutes but like all teams you need players for the bench and for competitive practice. All Darko, Curry and Hill do now are help the knicks with reasonable matchups in practice. Obviously when a young tall talented player gets cut by the worst team in the game red flags are everywhere, but this was a guy a lot of knick fans wanted so worthy of discussion.
When Jeffries ++ get traded there will be plenty of room to bring in PG's too. Meanwhile look for Tony Doughlas to get some PG minutes soon, or Nate / Hughes to give Duhon a blow.

When Darko and/or Hughes goes, or the Mobley contract goes, the Heat may sign Alston and let Arroyo go. I recommend signing Arroyo. The alternative is to try and pry DJ Augustine away from the Bobcats. Hughes for Augustin(one doghouse dude for another). LB would do it, but MJ might veto it. Duhon is too inconsistent, plays too many minutes for his ability, has no capable backup(no one has surfaced yet). The Knicks are trying to make the playoffs with a backup(in ability) point guard, and a part-time center who hasn't played in three years. Or with Lee, undersized at center. Gotta fix one of them at least. At one point I wanted Sean Williams, about two years ago, he might have been of some use, but not now. Yes, it is a discussion, and I have a strong opinion on your suggestion. I think the first player out of here will be Hughes, because of his, as usual, shitty attitude. He talks a good game, until one thing goes wrong, then he becomes a cancer in the locker room. The only reason for keeping Hughes is that he is LeBron's supposed buddy. I won't be shocked if Hughes, Harrington, Jeffries, Nate and Darko are all gone before the trade deadline. I also won't be surprised if they are all(except maybe for Darko) still here at the end of the season. I think Donnie is willing to go with what he has. D'Antoni maybe less so. Need a point guard, bad, Nate ain't the man for that, so either Douglas emerges, or it's time to go shopping, maybe at the $ store, but still time to go shopping.

apparently Darko and Walsh are already in buyout discussions to send him home.
Just wonder what will become of Williams.. AS for PG's we had an entire offseason of what PG are the knicks going to sign on a daily basis, Sessions, Marucs Williams, AI, to Von Vafer and Jason Williams, Crittendon Kidd, blah blah. There was not a guy who could crossover dribble that wasn't mentioned im a rumor to the knicks. Walsh signed none.
I think Walsh is really being careful trying to build a team with smart, talented and serious basketball players not just talented ones. I get the feeling Alson and Williams were distractions from the professionalism Kiki and Thorne want in the meadowlands (or newark or wherever ..which is why a one of these guys might help an established team with great on court leadership but not delicate rebuilding ones succeptible to distracting players and personalities. One bad apple can spoil the bunch....I spose.
Interesting Knick times, by Valentines day should get more interesting.

Now due to the acquisition of Kris Humphries, the Nets are looking to jettison Josh Boone. Any takers? 2mil this year, 3mil player option next year. Looking at his stats, he only shoots 2's and his foul shooting is horrible, to put it mildly.

Boone is a waste of space. The man can't shoot and plays horrible defense. He is only a mediocre rebounder. Boone plays with no heart.
