Now that he's on the block, do we want him ? Would they take Chandler? or anyone we have for that matter not named Gallo?

Chandler is a MUCH better player, Randolph is still a question mark.
I think the knicks should really try and work a trade with the Jazz to get our 1st round pick back. The Jazz need a shooter..

Anthony Randolph or Tyrus Thomas ?
I like Chandler, but I dont know how high his ceiling is. Seems like an undersized PF with his skill set or SF. His shot is hit or miss. If lebron is coming where does that leave Chandler?

i believe it leaves chandler as tradeable but more valuable than Anthony Randolph.

While Anthony Randolph may be on the block, and if you read the article/rumor that is debatable, D J Augustin IS on the block, and he is someone we could use, right now. Point guard and then center are the weakest positions, Randolph doesn't play either one of those.

As I remember last year, Axios, you wanted to trade Gallo for a cheese sandwich. Now all of a sudden he is the only one you wouldn't trade? Explain that!?

I think an apology is in order, as I've never even come close to mouthing a Gallo trade. Probably someone else you are thinking of. Randolph has oh that great word "potential" Tyrus is a beast I would prefer him as we can't stop anyone and God knows no one is scared to come into our paint.

Readong today's (12/18/09) newspaper in a rumbling Alan Hahn inquired with Knicks sources Don Nelson asked if Donnie if he wanted Randolph and the interest was there up until Nelson/Warriors brass asked for Danilo Gallinari and basically any talks are now dead on that player as long as Gallo's name is mentioned as he is the franchise at the moment.
The Augustin and Jeffries for Mike James deal seem to be out there but who knows why they havent happened from a player personnel or talent upgrade position. Like trade Nate for augustin for a dog house for doghouse player swap so we can get a natural point guard and Charlotte can get that natural playmaker off the bench they need.
Make the Jeffries deaal before he breaks his leg and is out indefinitely while the ceiling is high like he traded Crawford and Z-bo last year. D'antoni is killing the first year of Jordan Hill in the fact that most rookie picked that high NEED to play to developed into whatever their ceiling is. Jordan Hill isnt going to be amare but there is no reason he cant guard little guards like Jeffries does or shoot jumpers that Hill would make and Jeffries misses if that the type of positional player coach needs.
Jeffries ceiling isnt going to get any higher that it is right now and even though we lost a charlotte caused fouled out and he had his once a year breakout game thaat shouldnt be any reason to keep him at the coaches discretion at the expense of selling high why you can. When the Washington GM Ernie Grunfeld was quoted in saying he wouldnt mind Jeffries skills back i think last january or so I would have picked his interest as soon as he started playing good again to THAT team. Even if thats the only trade we make the Wiz have too many guards and not enough time we do but you make the cap relief and bite the playing time bullet.
Is there anything wrong with this thinking or is it just me?

Trading Jeffries is a good idea, for decent value. Trading Nate for Augustin, I already proposed, but I don't think LB is a Nate fan.

I think the augustine doghouse is just tough-love trying to wake him up to grow up. It was the same with Nate but now I believe the Knicks would like to move him but cannot....complicated contract numbers to move and the Knicks will not take back anything but an expiring contract.
