If Jennings went to college he would have been selected higher. However, I do believe playing in Europe made him a better player. This is how the draft goes. Concerning Jordan Hill he has the natural tools with a good jumper. If he has the desire he could become an above average player. Especially in Dantonis system, with the right point gaurd of course. I believe if Isiah was still GM he would have picked Jennings in a New York second. However, this is not an endorsement to bring Isiah back.

Doesn't matter if it was Isaiah or Bill Naismith, you just never know.
If you are saying that Europe is not scouted by decent basketball folk then there's a problem and opportunity.

Outside if Isiah's scouting our scouts of the last 10 years whomever they are have been asleep at the wheel both in domestic college hoops and in Europeans sports. The year we got it right post-2000 is when we selected Nene but what did we do we traded Ewing's successor in Camby and Oakley's succesor in Nene to the Nuggets and partnered with Melo and Billups its been a playoff ride ever since.
I'd love to be scout all day and get paid to pick the diamond in the rough both in the US and abroad in a draft or the D-league or that division 2 school because that to me would never old if you are a student of the game. Picks like Milos Vujanic, Frank Williams, Weis and Sweetney make me think we hired our opponents scouts all these years, like really what were these men thinking.
