One more thing.
We are way overmatched against Miami. They have a bonafide superstar in Wade who can beat us by himself as he proved last year. They have a great young talent in Beasley. They have a healthy Jermaine O'Neal. They have good complimentary players everywhere else and they play defense.
Not every team is going to offer that kind of difficulty especially on their court. I wouldn't judge the season (though I am sure everybody had the same awful Deja Vu feeling I had ; ) based on one game. Didn't we beat Miami to open the season last year? ; )

I would have taken Beasley over Rose in the draft. Although I like Rose, Beasley will be the better player in the long run. I have always held this position, and I see nothing to change my mind. Beasley has unique talents plus size. Wade didn't have that good a game, but Beasley and others did, even if only in small bursts. Cook came off the bench and hurt us. Arroyo, who we should have signed, more than once, played well. He would be the perfect sub for Duhon, might even beat him out for the starting position. Only Darko could stop O'Neal. Lee was overmatched and Jeffries was posterized by him. Jeffries is worse than Tim Thomas, at least Thomas could score, not that I am a Tim Thomas fan.

I see Rose as alot better than Beasley. beasley doesn't really have a position. and i'd take a high quality PG over a pure scorer every time.

Yea, I lean towards Rose too because I value PGs higher than any other position on the team. The issue with both Rose and Beasley is maturity. Whoever gets there first and stays there as it pertains to growing up and facing their responsibilities on and off the court is the guy who becomes the bigger star. Talent-wise they are both gifted. I do like Beasley's unique ability to find scoring opportunities where none seem to exist. In a way he is a more athletic ZBo. Ultimately his best position, again IMHO, is small forward. He will have to improve his range but already he has the handle and both midrange and post game to bring to the position plus he is a very good rebounder.
