Will; did you read the comments. Minne fans must think Ricky is better than Tony P or chauncey considering what they want in a trade. their fans are clueless.

Gates the Minne fans have a complex with NY and any trade to us they don't like,I hope this trade goes through finally.

Most implied that Lee/Nate with a future 1st were not enough for a guy who has yet to play a game in the NBA and if other reports are correct, will not for atleast another two years. Ah well.

I think when we read these articles it's best wait a news-cycle ie; 8 hours or less until that rumor is refuted.
It appears that is was just rumor.

I will conjecture to say I do believe the knicks have led the league in off-season rumors, perhaps even won!

Looks like Ricky is a Barcelonian, not a bad place to play, visit, work

Indeed the Knicks do lead the NBA in rumors. ; ) Let's put this rumor to rest. ; )
IMHO the cost to get Rubio was way too high and the decision to stay in Spain two more years and just let nature take it's course (translation: get bigger and stronger) was a smart one by the Rubio camp. I still have my doubts he ever plays in Minnesota except as a road game. ; ) The 2 extra years bought him time to get a change of address too.

I agree about the long term change of address change of address. currently A) More money and less games and Barcelona Or B) less cash crap team and a minnesota winter
If he chose B then I wouldn't want someone that stoooopid.

But did you see who they wanted for two young good role players and a future to which we dont even have one next year?
Brian Cardinal and Mark Blount. Are you nuts? We better be glad that Zeke is not still the GM or this deal would have been done. Would have been the equivalent of having Weatherspoon and Nazr Mohammed on our team again.
Yuk! Let's just go with what we have and give Utah our lotto pick and call it a day cause we arent adding anyone unless curry and Jeffries impress beyong belief this season in order to get traded to a vet team.

The papers today quote Donnie Walsh saying that he did not talk to the T Wolves since the day after draft day.
I think we can put this one to bed for a while and go back to counting Curry calories.

Hey Jason I like our chances against Blount and cardinal. Blount hasn't hustled in the last decade ( eddy calls him a worthless loafer) and ironside could check cardinal.

Another Euro that seems reluctant to play in the USA despite saying he would. Didnt we have someone like that before, named Fred? Gary

Ah, to have Mark Blount and Brian Cardinal on the Knicks would bring back the dismal memories of John Rudd and, for those who are a bit older, Bill Hosket, despite having a hell of a 69-70's NBA finals appearance, which is more than Phil Jackson can say...
Imagine drafting Frederic Weiss with the 13th overall pick, getting fired for it, and than rehired in the NBA! Ed Tapscott has the luck of Ernie Grunfeld when it comes to NBA durability, despite screwing teams up. I suppose Grunfeld gets somewhat of a pass for our mid-90s success, but at what cost?
Speaking of famous European players who the Knicks never seemed to get to play on their court, I hear that Maciej Lampe wants to go to Minnesota in exchange for Brian Cardinal, who was a CD-DNP in his first NBA game back in 1959.

By the way, just in case anyone cares, I will replace the icon of former near-Knick great Von Wafer and, when provided with actual photographic evidence of Eddy Curry's 40 pound weight loss, put up a more Eddy Friendly Photo...
Perhaps one of him doing that ballet stint in Thornwood? Boy, that must have been a sight to behold!
