BTW, on Boozer the "light" just went on. ; ) Utah wouldn't trade him to us and risk us having a better record next year and ruining their chance to get our lottery pick.
Duh! ; )

Irish it would be so beautiful if we got Deron Williams or chris Paul eventually. Those two cant win in their respective cities. I just hope we dont mess up flexibility for 2001 and 2012 respectively and stay open to make moves kind of like Portland is every year right now for example.

I agree with Plan B, meaning acquire LeBron in summer 2010 and, in the following year, get Chris Paul who is, IMHO, the best PG this NBA has seen since John Stockton. Like I expressed previously, if we as fans are patient, and realize that we have a terrific young nucleus of Danillo Galinari, Wilson Chandler, possibly David Lee, who I do expect to be resigned for a reasonable amount of money, and possibly Ramon Sessions, if the NY Post is accurate this one time, and maybe steal Brandon Roy, we will have a powerhouse team. Toss in J-Hill and Toney Douglas, who may be an excellent combo guard. So my thinking is get LeBron here next summer and not sweat over Jeffries' or Curry's deals which fall off the cap n 2011-12. I even have hopes for Darko Milicic, who will be playing for a "player's coach" for the first time in his young career, and will have a team that can and will contend for the NBA title. We don't need to make a deal just because it may be out there. We have Hughes, Duhon, Harrington, and a few others coming off the cap at the end of the season. After Curry and Jeffries are lopped off, that is an extra $18,000,000 plus our surplus . NY is in excellent shape. How's this for 2011-2012? Center: Milicic/Sene/ Gallo (as a high post alternative) PF: Lee/Hill/Gallo (This guy can legitimately play SF, PF, and Center) SF: LeBron/Gallo/Chandler SIG: Chandler/Douglas PG: CP3/Sessions Of course, this line-up does not include draft picks which Walsh will acquire or the acquisition of Roy or another elite FA in 2012. Wow!

So a couple of you guys raved about one of Sene's performances late last season. While I do think a lot of guys should have got more time when we were out of contention last year (i.e. sene and joe crawford), I havent seen anything from Sene. I dont know much about him xcept he was a lotto pick 3 or 4 years ago. Anyway when we write down these proposed lineups that we dream about- everybody always include Sene! He looks slow and out of shape to me if I was watching the same guy in summer league. He had a block or two but nothing special to me. Why does everyone like this guy and see him as part of the knicks years from now? That guy with the long hair #43 looked more active to me in Vegas, not sure of his name maybe Warren Carter?

I've been one of those Saer Sene band standers, yet I have not seen one minute of his Vegas performances. Honestly, I do not put much stock into this "baller" showcase, as it has been my opinion that this forum features the SGs and PGs more so than the ”BIGS” That said, since you have saw Sare Sene play, I need to take into account your evaluation of this player and honor it!. Just to clarify my points on Sene, I do not see him supplanting Darko Milcic as our primary center. He is offensively raw, and would be, in my humble opinion, a tertiary option at the 5 spot. He runs the court very well. In fact, I see him as a third center--one whose 8 foot wing-span, shot blocking, and fearlessness on “D” would give NY a different look. My belief, and I may be crazy, is that Darko Milcic is going to have a break-out year with NY. DA projected his stats based on his career number in boards and blocks, and a modest number of 9 PPG, 10 to 11 PG, and +2 blocks were the approximation. I think Milicic, given the minutes, will exceed the numbers although I would be thrilled with these projections. We were given a 24 year old 7’1 ¾ pivot who is ready for prime time, IMHO.

Saer Sene came into the league very raw but he was athletic and 7 feet tall. Unlike JaVale McGee of Washington who maximizes his strengths while working on his weaknesses Sene has not progressed. In fact if the reports about his physical condition are true he has regressed. It's a shame because as Samuel Dalembert has proved there is always a spot for an athletic big who plays defense, rebounds and blocks shots.
I agree with Ken that Darko has a chance to break out of his career doldrums with NY. Unlike Sene his attitude and work ethic is not much of an issue and he is far more skilled than Sene while also being athletic and 7' too.
