Rose and company clearly know what they are doing. CLEARLY. I thought Grimes would be a Damyean Dotson 2.0 type. After watching him you gotta see much much more. I know summer league makes anyone with a modicum of offense look better than they are BUT Grimes looks like a baller. Same with Deuce. And you have to like Sims. Just consistant kudos to this group of picks and this management team.

Especially true because they are outplaying all the dudes close to where they were picked.What stood out to me from both all three picks was the value.We got two way players,Grimes and Deuce can shoot and are not scared to shoot.Sims upside is scary.If these guys do this good with the draft imagine what we will look like in three years.

Sharife Cooper sat out the second half supposedly with a stomach ache, but in reality a severe case of the Deuce flu. Supposedly they worked out together for the Knicks and the same thing happened, which is why McBride was selected with Cooper still on the board. I was thinking it might be tough for McBride to get into the rotation but I’m not sure IQ’s stint at the point in summer league was enough for the Knicks to trust him there. And McBride is such a demon on defense I can see him making life miserable for Trae Young, and as I’m typing this Woj just told me that Deuce might ruin Trae’s Christmas too, as the Knicks will return to playing on Christmas against the Hawks. And Grimes is tremendous too. Very hyped for this season!
