Love this kid and now I know why Thibs was so high on him. Physical. Athletic. Tough. Smart. And he has skills. People say “It’s only summer league” but skills stand out. Athleticism stands out. Toughness stands out. 😎😎😎

He plays real smart already no TO is very impressive.His feet on defense is what stood out to me and his arm length helps him get his hands on alot of balls.I love adding smart guys to this team.

I can clearly picture Thibs on draft night pacing the floor and yelling at Leon to pick him as Leon calmly traded down, first from 19, then 21, then picked Grimes at 25 while Thibs was freaking out. Then he trades down again in round two and selects a stash player at 34 before breaking into a big grin as he selected Deuce at 36. Thibs then smiled and sat back in the chair he had just picked up, hoping the boss didn’t realize he was about to get hit over the head with it. Seriously though, great job by Leon and Grimes finally stepped up too last night and showed everyone why he was a first round pick.
