So I'm probably going to sound like a hypocrite after my almost meltdown last night on these draft picks, but I just found out some leverage we have with Charlotte on the swapped pick.
So apparently the Hornets can't trade a pick until 2027 because of the protection
the Knicks made on the pick. So if they absolutely have to make a trade with picks, they have to get permissions from NYK to remove those in future years.
Well we could have right of refusal NOT to do so or leverage them to remove other protections, like lotto protection if we agree to any pick negotiations with them.
