I’m not as married to RJ as most and if we could save two number ones or more if we included him in the deal, I would do so. And again, I DO love RJ but would not let him be the deal breaker in a trade to get a first ballot hall of fame player.

I'd rather trade for Donovan Mitchell. As would the other 29 teams. He however isn't potentially on the block. And unlike Lillard, Mitchell may have to mean RJ being traded not to add to Donovan but for him. Don't know I want to give up on RJ just yet or at all really. |

I thought there were some rumblings that he wanted out of Utah in spite of Wade's ownership and potential mentoring. I have no idea how a deal would work but no way in hell I trade RJ. But I wouldn't blink if it meant giving up Toppin, Quickley, Knox, some future picks and a boatload of $$$. Mitchell is a New Yorker I believe. He has no control over his destiny except the prospect of not extending, am I right? I would be happy to roll with Randle, Barrett, Mitchell, the Argentinian, Mitch, if that is feasible. What I find intriguing is that Randle/Barrett/Mitchell are all capable of playmaking for others as well as creating for themselves. This means the ball is unlikely to stick and that good shots will be available. Barrett showed great strides in that corner three. |

You’re not getting Mitchell or Lillard without giving up RJ IMO. It’s fair if you consider him untouchable, but don’t think the Knicks will be trading for any top superstar and not including him in the package. I don’t care how many ones you’ll be willing to trade, your number one picks will be devalued because your trade partner knows adding an elite superstar to a fourth seeded team without taking a couple of their top players will ensure those picks are very late first round.

The problem I see doing deal is that we have to trade too many assets.I understand how great a player he is too.I mush rather push assets in to trade up for younger star like Boughnight.Having another young star is the way to go it might take longer but we are setup perfect to do that.Slow and steady is best course.I'm hearing four 1st two 1st swaps and RJ,IQ and Mitch and Tobi.If you cleaning out all my assets it leaves me kinda naked to do anything else for a very long time.Getting Dame would be great for sure but building a team is a better approach than going all in for one guy.

I love RJ but to get Donovan Mitchell I would trade Barrett. Donovan is a superstar level player and he is just 24 years old. He also signed a big extension with Utah so frankly I don't see Utah moving him knowing they have contractual control of him for at least 4 more years.

I know it's weird but i want to develop my own star. Robbing Portland fans of their best player in the club history is not the way I envision a championship. Likewise Mitchell in Utah is thier best player maybe in history those fans of those teams are no giving up on their franchise best player of all time.We do have to trade the farm too to overcome that.So I wait to get them free.I know it happens but I do like guys playing with their teams for life especially their best player of all time.
