Nah!! And it has less to do with Kemba and more to do with how I wouldn't want to send picks and get fleeced by OKC.

Nope! Kemba is at the age when small guards start to break down. He already shows signs of it which is why Boston dumped him. Trading for Kemba would be a HUGE mistake.

If OKC wants to trade Kemba AND the #6 pick I'd consider the trade. Strongly. James Bouknight will be available at #6 and if the Knicks are so high on him here is an opportunity to get him and all it costs is money and maybe a couple of future picks. Throw in Knox and Frank, sign our own free agents we need plus whoever we draft and call it an off season. Walker is signed for 2 more years @ 73 million. That money comes off the books in 2023 with some interesting possible free agents available. It's not like Kemba sucks as a player, right?

I cant see why OKC would trade their highest pick and a player for clearly less value.

I cant see why OKC would trade their highest pick and a player for clearly less value. Money. They want to dump salary and it won’t be easy. The Knicks are one of the very few teams who can absorb Kemba’s salary easily. As for the pick the real diamonds are 1-4. Everything after that is a crap shoot.

I dont think money is an issue in this case, Even with Kemba, OKC is about 40 million under the floor. They could keep kemba, pay 35 mil per Elfrid and still have to add salary. They took kemba to get a mid first round pick. I dont believe they would trade their top pick to get rid of him. Now maybe if you believe in frank Bwaaaahaa. i would think their goal is to trade kemba for a poor or mediocre contract in addition to another young asset/pick

I pass on Kemba but I'm now warming up to getting Sexton.Sexton has cohones and is one tough kid,I'm hoping while young he can learn to play better see under thibs,I think that improvement alone would put us on another level he is huge upgrade over Payton.

I posted the article, but lazily didn’t give my opinion! I say no on Kemba as anything but a last resort option and if it’s indeed true that they’re nearing a deal, it’s way too soon to even think about him. Last year as all options dried up and we would up with Elf it would have been a more attractive option, but I’m sure hoping Leon, Wes and Scott have better options on their mind.
