Obi be ballin First off Ellington is lucky to be in the league. Second Obi going to be great when he's featured more. Third, I loved the defensive intensity of some of the players like Dennis and Noel especially. But lastly if Thibs puts that garbage, with the 1st pick in the 2021 draft lineup he started the game with on the regular season opener, we may not win until Bronny James graduates from high school and we draft him. All jokes aside, before the second younger unit came in, I wore a bag over my head(kidding it's preseason I get it) in my own house. Lol

I hate to say it, but watching the game last night I had to admit that Noel should be starting because we still see the silly overaggressive fouls by Mitch, and until DSJ consistently hits that open shot, Payton is their best point guard. Hopefully DSJ can do this because he certainly looked smooth on the one three he hit, and they also have Rivers and the two of them should push Payton out of the rotation completely. (Fingers crossed!) As Jason pointed out, Obi has to play over Randle, this will be a source of frustration all year for us if it doesn’t happen. I’ve said Obi is the best player on the team even seeing him in a Knicks uniform, and nothing I saw last night convinced me otherwise. His cross court passes unfortunately are as bad as Randle’s dribbling into a triple team, but unlike Randle he’s a rookie and will quickly learn he can’t do that in the NBA. In defense of Randle, he did hit two big shots down the stretch and the one play where instead of dribbling he drilled an open 15 footer made me realize I could actually like him if he did that all the time and the shot wouldn’t even have to go in! For the sake of Obi’s development Randle has gotta go though. I’m not taking any joy from that win because Thibs coached like it was a playoff game and the Pistons had their best players on the bench in the fourth quarter. That being said, when they were on the court, the Knicks outplayed them more than they did the scrubs! And Obi Toppin looked so much better than Killian Hayes who was picked before him, but I understand that Killian is a kid while Obi is 22. I applaud Detroit for starting him though, and you do know if the Knicks had drafted him we’d STILL be watching Elfrid Payton and throwing things at our TV! And let me just add that RJ played well in the second half after that awful start, but for at least this night it didn’t seem like he improved his shooting this offseason and he had NINE months to do so!

RX Rj first three shots were off by alot but he did look good in his form ,it has changed for the better gone is that hitch he had, most players played bad after such a long layoff look around the league and all the games yesterday,it's just one game .I liked the dee and the aggressive play .Now what I didn't like is we are still shooting bricks from the foul line that has to get better.

Payton is our best PG, and played good D. Dennis i can’t figure out. RJ looked great in the second half, but i hope he can start hitting shots or else we are screwed. Knox looked impressive. He was playing D like he knew how. Kid can shoot I hope he keeps improving. Frank looks better, more confident.
