I have not gone nuts. I am in full possession of all my faculties.I haven’t been drinking or dancing with Mary Jane. 
But since we know so little about Leon Rose EXCEPT he knows everybody and their Mama what if Leon was planning a move that would shake the foundation of the basketball world.
We know Russell Westbrook is in play. Today in one fell swoop Rose has jettisoned 40 million dollars worth of contracts. None of the names surprise me but the one guy we kept is maybe a clue as to Rose’s intent. We know the Knicks need shooting and Reggie Bullock can shoot. So can our 2 new rookies.
My feeling is the Knicks will use the contract of Julius Randle and likely Dennis Smith, Jr who combined make 24.5 million. Harkless is also an expiring deal that could be used in a sign and trade. The Knicks have a lot of draft capital too so they could be in the driver’s seat in any trade discussion. Westbrook is one of the top 2 players available for a trade. The Knicks aren’t after Harden so if they go after any superstar in a trade it’s Westbrook. But that’s not enough of a move to be a player in a championship quest.
Getting Anthony Davis would be a major move that puts the Knicks in the championship hunt. Now. AD can get more money in LA but I’m pretty sure he has a relationship with Rose. Plus the Knicks look a lot more attractive with Toppin, Quickley, Mitch, RJ, Frank and Knox. That’s a very talented and young nucleus. Throw in Bullock as the designated shooter and at least one MLE player and technically it’s feasible.
Not likely though. I can see Westbrook but AD is a huge stretch. Right?
